How often do you pop into your local Superdrug and come out with 423143439 things you didn't want or need. All the time I know. I genuinely went in for some of those delectable Malteaser Bunnies and came out with two of those (as planned) and a new foundation (not planned). I'd not heard anything about the Undress Your Skin range so was quite surprised when I spotted it. Obviously I had to buy the foundation because it claimed to be 'illuminating' and was only £3 on an introductory offer. To be honest I didn't think it would blow me away but I was pleasantly surprised.
I have nothing else on my skin other than the foundation and I absolutely love it. Even though MUA states this is a medium to full coverage foundation, I would have to disagree. I personally found that the coverage was quite light but could be built to a medium coverage. I'm definitely of the opinion that less is more so I didn't build it up. When it comes to the finish I wouldn't say it was dewy or matte. It's definitely natural and sits somewhere in the middle of the two. The illuminating element apparently comes from light-diffusing particles of shimmer but I couldn't detect anything on my skin. I do agree that it has an illuminating effect though but in a really subtle radiant way.
Obviously it has it's downsides. There are only three shades in the whole range which is outrageous I know. That being said the shade 'Beige' which I picked up matches me perfectly. I did find the consistency to be quite thick and you do have to work a little more to make sure it's fully blended but all in all for £3 you can't really complain. I even like the packaging! I would definitely recommend taking a peek and if you want to pick it up it's still at it's introductory price online here.
